Worn out from blogging !

I was laying on my boy's bed today doing a little blogging and I got so tired I could hardly hold my eyes open. So.................I took a little nap ........his bed is so comfy. But when I woke up there was no one in the room but me, so I started barking (I haven't quite leaned how to jump off the bed yet...it seems so far down). Mom came to help me.....she put the ottoman next to the bed and I could get off it by myself. I know what you' re thinking....oh she is a big puppy she should be able to jump off the bed .............well all I can say is..... I am working on it.

Lexi meets Violet (her best friend)

This post is being written by Lexi's mom because she is still too excited to blog about it. Last night Lexi got to meet Violet, she is a 4 year old Golden. She will be Lexi's best friend because Lexi's girl and Violet's girl (Violet has 2 girls) are friends and will have the dogs together for walks etc..... Lexi was so excited when she saw Violet she could not contain herself (usually she only gets excited for humans not other dogs too much). We think she thought Violet was her furry mom.
They played and went crazy for a long time and I could not even get a photo. They both had bows on when they met but they soon went flying off.
This was a while after they had calmed down a bit.
Lexi had to give Violet a good sniff to see who she really was.
Here they are both waiting for treats being on their best behavior.

Father's Day ~ Dog Park

Happy Father's Day to all the human and furry dad's. (Happy Father's Day to my grandpa if you're reading my blog). We had a fun day today. I went to my first Doggie Park today with my dad and my boy. That's why there are no pictures of me there. My mom takes all of my pictures. So I will just tell you that I had a great time. I hope we go again. I was so tired when we got home so I took a little nap.
Mom thought I might be a little dirty from the park so in the tub I went. Mom gave me a bath by herself so she had a hard time taking pictures. This is not my best side.

It wasn't so bad when it was all done and I smelled really good....but I don't look very happy here. Then of all the nerve I got my ears cleaned too.  Oh yeah........I got blow dried today too..........that's a lot of wind. 

I Got My Last Puppy Shots Today !

I got my last shots today and I am so excited because now mom says I can go out into the world. Maybe the park.......maybe a doggie beach.......maybe anywhere !!  My mom and boy got me these new toys today. Pink and black...mom's favorite colors. I think they got them for me because they felt bad that I had to get shots.  But I really don't care what the reason is because I love new toys to play with.

Me & My Boy ~ 1st day of Summer

This is the 1st morning of summer (yesterday) for my boy and me. Mom put a blanket on the sofa so I can go on it. Dad doesn't really want me on the sofa but mom lets me sit on it.  I love laying there with my boy.......well for a little while.
I love giving my boy big sloppy kisses.

I also like bitting his hair........he doesn't like that as much......I'm not sure why.
The rest of the day we played,  I napped,  I stayed home with my girl for a while when my mom and boy went on errands and then I went to puppy training.  I am learning how to take walks and not be distracted by anything.  It is so hard when you have to walk past other puppies , big doggies and humans (and even treats)...........but I am working on it. My trainer said I did a good job.

Me and Bubbles

Yesterday my boy blew some bubbles for me in my backyard. I had never seen bubbles before and I was not sure what to do with them.
But I figured out pretty fast that they were great fun.......
I was trying to catch every one........but they kept getting away from me......
After a while I was popping a lot of them in my mouth...what fun !! Mom say's the pictures are a little blurry because I never stopped running and jumping and she had a hard time following me with the camera.
I love bubbles !!

PICKING UP MY BOY

Mom took me with her today to pick up my boy from school. Tomorrow is his last day of school and I am so excited because then he will be home with me every day (until school starts again).

We can play, go on walks and mom says I can go to the park after my last shots on Saturday.
We waited a long time and still no boy.
Mom brought some nice cold water for us to drink because it was warm in the car. 
Finally I see my boy.......I am so happy !!!!!!

Sunday Afternoon Nap

I was taking a nice Sunday afternoon nap on my new bed..... 
.....when all of the sudden I felt something on my ears....
.....once again my mom is sticking bows on my ears.......new bows.....black with pearls....I like how they look, but I had them off in less than a minute.....nice try mom !!!!!!

This is me now !

This is how I look now. My mom took these pictures yesterday. She says I am growing really fast. My family doesn't hold me as much as they used to......I guess I am getting too big for that (20lbs). But they still pet me and play with me all of the time. I like to sit with my boy on the sofa when no on else is looking and my dad lets me sit in the recliner with him in the morning. My mom says I can sleep on my boys bed (or my mom and dad's) as soon as I can jump up there myself. I am still working on it.
This is one of my pink toys...a perfume bottle (dog toy). They really buy me a lot of toys and I notice they give me one right away when I am chewing on the furniture or their clothes........I love socks. I also love to rip paper up and if they forget to close the bathroom door the toilet paper is mine !

My First Bath

This is me after my first bath .  I was not crazy about it but I smelled really good when it was all done. It wore me out a little and I had to take a nap.

Me in my Pink Tutu

This is me in my pink tutu. (This picture was taken in mid May.)  My mom bought it for me. It's a little big for me........ I guess I will grow into it.  She doesn't put it on me when my dad or my boy are home.

I really like it....it's really good to chew on, my mom is not happy about that part.

Hi......I'm Lexi

I was born in California .......where I still live. These are some pictures of me on my first day home....which was April 19th 2009. My family held me a lot so I did not have to do much walking. I guess because they had not had a puppy in a long time and I am pretty cute. This is a picture of my boy holding me.
I slept a lot my first few days at home, in fact I still like to take my naps.
