Hi friends. This is Casey. She is the doggie that lived with my family for 17 years before I came to live with them. She was a Golden Cocker and Poodle mix. My dad always thought she looked like a little Golden Retriever when her hair was shorter. She was kind of more my dad's dog. She was a little mean and mom did not like that part. They had another doggie named Lady for a little while.....I will ask mom to find a picture of her.
My Christmas Day started out by mom putting my sweater on me. After she saw the look on my face she took it off and never put it back on. This was my first present.....I didn't know what to do with it so I ran outside with it and just sat there for a while. They never let me have paper to shred so I was a little confused. This is after I got the hang of opening presents. I had a great time after that. This is one of my new stuffies. A "Chewy Vuitton" purse that my girl got me. I am guarding some of my new toys. My rabbit stuffie has a squeaker in it that sounds like a duck. I really like my teddy bear Wubba. This is my dad holding me and my rabbit stuffie (he is the only one that can lift 60 lbs). I guess he is making a funny face because I am pretty big and wiggly. Note from Lexi's mom: These are the treats that were wrapped up but she ate them so fast that I could not get a picture (except for the cupcake that she ate earlier). I think Lexi had a fun FIRST Christmas. Having her made our Christmas even more special.
I finally got to see Santa Claus today. Thanks to a kind visitor to my blog named Molly. She suggested that we go to PetSmart. Mom doesn't know why she didn't think of that herself.....she goes there all the time. Today was the last day Santa was going to be there so we got lucky. I went with my mom and my boy. There were two big Dobermans in line before me and they were pretty nice. Most of the other doggies were little. Santa let the little doggies sit in his lap but the Dobermans and I had to sit on the floor in front of Santa.
This is me in my new Christmas dress. Mom says I will be wearing it on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Mom says it is usually warm on Christmas so I might not wear it for long. These are my reindeer antlers......they blink. I am not so crazy about them but I kept them on while mom was taking my picture. Right after that I shook them off. I wanted to chew on them a while but mom took them away from me. My dad feels sorry for me that mom puts all these silly clothes on me. Mom says that she dressed her cats up when she was a little girl and I guess she never outgrew it. I have not gotten to see Santa Claus yet. Mom can't find one that takes pictures with puppies.....only kids......she's still looking.
My mom went shopping today and came home with a new stuffie for me. Stuffies are my favorite toys. I love to rip them apart to get the squeaker out and of coarse the stuffing. I had never seen this guy before but he looked like a stuffie. He squeaked like a stuffie. He was a little harder than my usual stuffies. Can you believe it. A stuffie with no stuffing. I thought there was something different about him. Of all the nerve mom !!! Maybe Santa Claus will bring me a REAL stuffie for Christmas. I think I have been pretty good this year (well............ I am only 9 months old !).
My mom put the Christmas Tree up a few days ago and I was getting so excited to play with it.........then she put up a fence around it. She thinks I might eat it and the ornaments. She's right...that's just what I had in mind. I wonder if one of those presents is for me? This is me on the new wood floor. My dad is putting it in himself on the weekends, so he just does one room at a time. I am getting the hang of running on wood............ but I like carpet better. My mom wanted green walls so now my whole house is slowly turning green. My mom thinks it looks happy.
Hi,
My name is Lexi. I am a Golden Retriever and I was born February 19, 2009. I live with my mom, dad, girl and boy in California. I enjoy sleeping, eating, barking and playing with my family. I think my favorite color is pink because almost all of the toys my family gets for me are pink....so I must love it!
Another little sneak peak....
