Merry Christmas

It's Christmas morning and we have opened all of our presents. I got a lot of stuff this year. My favorite toys are the squeaky balls that my sister got for me. I have never had rubber balls that were so squishy and easy to bite before.......I love them.
My (human) uncle and my cousins came over for Christmas Eve dinner last night. My mom put the gate up for a while and I could not get to them. After they ate and mom put all of the chocolate away they took the gate down. I went crazy greeting everyone. My uncle does not like dogs so much so I wanted his attention the most. I could not leave him alone. I had a great time. My cousins have 2 big dogs at their house so they did not seem to mind too much when I sat in their laps.
This is my other Christmas dress. I like it better than my red one because it is stretchy and comfy. I will probably wear it all day today. Mom is making a ham so I can't wait for that. I'm sure she will give me some.

Napping Under the Christmas Tree

My mom caught me while I was napping (which isn't hard to do) for this picture. It's been raining here for days and I don't get my walks in every day...so I have to nap more than usual.

This is one of my new Christmas dresses. My other one is black velvet. This one is all sparkly.....my mom loves sparkles. I heard my mom say that some of those presents under the tree are mine. I can't wait to see what they are. I hope I get some new stuffies because I have unstuffed and ripped up my old ones. I wouldn't mind a Bully stick or two either. I love those things. I don't think my mom is going to take me to see Santa Claus this year. Even with all the training I've had when I get around new humans I go crazy.......I love to see new humans!!!

Happy Summer

Hi friends.....I hope you are all having a fun summer. I love having my boy home everyday to play with me ( in between my napping). He went to an arcade and got me this huge tennis ball with some of his tickets. I love chasing it around the house, but I just can't get my mouth around it. I don't know if you can tell but I got my first haircut a few weeks ago. They trimmed all of my fringes off. My family thought it would help with all the shedding I do ......but I don't think it worked. My mom has to vacuum every day to keep up with all of my hair flying around.

My mom does not seem to be working on my blog at all lately......I don't know why. Maybe I can talk her into it again. This year she has been trying to prepare mostly organic food and has been spending more time cooking (she does not like to cook) than she did before. Maybe that's why. I hope you have a great summer.

Hi Friends

Hi friends, I have not been doing much lately..........just taking a lot of naps. Well that's not really all but nothing too exciting to post about. I love that it's Spring Break and most of my family are home this week (except my dad.......he has to work). It rained here today and I really like the rain. It is so fun to catch raindrops in your mouth and to play in the mud. My mom seems to be unhappy when I leave muddy paw prints everywhere.

A cat came by to visit tonight. I was napping by the siding glass door...I opened my eyes and there it was......a cat. Of coarse I went crazy and was barking uncontrollably. Mom would not let me outside to see it.......she thought I might hurt it because I was so excited. After mom saw that it was farther away she let me out and I started barking louder....I think it left our yard.......too bad....I just wanted to be friends. My family thinks I am a great barker.

Lexi's First Birthday

My birthday cake was so yummy.......my mom made it for me. It tasted like peanut butter but mom said it had other stuff in it that was good for me like carrots. I got to eat it all by myself. It was really little even though it looks big in the picture.
This is my new birthday dress. Mom thought I needed a black dress and pearls for my birthday.

Mom made it for me because they don't sell dresses for Golden Retrievers.
I got some stuffies (my favorite) for my birthday. I really like the soccer ball. It is nice and soft with a squeaker inside. I was happy to get my new Wubba bunny because I already tore apart the one that I had in my last video. My girl picked out all my birthday stuffies for me.

Another reason I had a great birthday was that my boy came home from a 4 day school camp in the mountains and I really missed him.

Rainy Days

The last two days it has been rainy and cold here. Today there was even thunder and lightening. I didn't like that thunder at all and I let it know (barking is one of the things I do best). But most of the day I just sleep (another thing I am really good at). I don't get to nap in dad's chair very often..........but he's at work so it's all mine.

Embarrassing Moment !

This picture is so embarrassing I don't even know what to say. I can't believe my mom took this picture of me . This is not my best side. I usually sit like this in the chair before I get comfortable....I'm not sure why.....but now the world knows............thanks mom.

First Grooming

I got groomed today for the first time (I have been there to have my nails trimmed...but that's all). Mom usually gives me a bath but she thinks I am getting too big. The truth is mom did not want to leave me at the groomers. She made them put me in a run (I don't like kennels anymore) while I was waiting to be groomed. She is kinda weird like that. She wanted to take a picture of me there but when I was going in I had my brakes on and I guess it didn't look too good. When I was coming out I was in a hurry to leave so she couldn't get one then either. I was so happy to see my mom and my boy.

New Monkey Stuffie

I got a new monkey stuffie yesterday (I know...Christmas just got over but my girl got it for me for Valentine's Day..... but she said she couldn't wait to give it to me). I really love it but I wish my mom had taken the picture yesterday. Because today it doesn't look so good. I kind of ripped one of its arms a little.
My mom couldn't believe how long I sat still and posed for the pictures. I am usually running with my stuffie in my mouth and squeaking it at the same time or just trying to tear it apart. My family thinks I am wild and crazy sometimes.
