Doggie Manners Class

This picture of me was taken at my new doggie training called Doggie Manners. For some reason mom thinks I need more manners. I have only been there one time so far but I really like it. There are big doggies there.......not little puppies. There is one other puppy there...he is 7 months old. He is the white one with tan spots in the picture below.
This is two of my new friends from school and me having a group smell........we all seem to like each other. The lab's name is Koda and she is pretty nice. Sammy is my puppy friend. Sammy's mom used ham pieces for his training treats and he got tired of them so his mom gave them to me and my mom gave Sammy some of my treats. I had had never had ham before and I was CRAZY about it.

Note from Lexi's mom: Our sweet Lexi jumped on the dinning room table today.....boy were we surprised and I think she was too. She also tries to steal food off the counters quite regularly now. So that is why we though she might need a little more training or maybe we do. She already had puppy training. I guess her days of me lifting her on to the chair are over. We still think she is the sweetest puppy ever !!!!

New Blog awards !

My friend Miley gave me this pretty "Kreative Blogger" award a little while ago but my mom has been a little slow posting about it. I'm not sure why.
My friend Subi gave me this nice "Honest Scrap" award. So I told my mom we need to post about these today ! Thank you both for sharing these awards with me. I love awards.

Now I am supposed to tell you 7 (for the 1st award) and 10 (for the 2nd award) things about myself. I am going to combine them and do it all at once.

1. I like to sleep on my back (my mom calls it spread eagle)

2. I like to bark a lot

3. I love to chew on the inside roll from the toilet paper (who doesn't)

4. I LOVE to ride in the car

5. I like to chew on weeds

6. I like to pose for pictures (that my mom is constantly taking of me)

7. I like to sleep in my kennel (I usually go in by myself when I get tired)

8. If mom drops some food on the floor while she is cooking, I can get it before she does (even if I am not in the same room)

9. I just started a new doggie training class called Doggie Manners (I guess I need more manners)

10.I do not like to take a bath........I think I smell fine)

My Favorite Toy !

This is my toy box... it is full of fun toys. I also have other toys around the house and outside. My mom can't figure out why this is my favorite toy !

A cap. I love caps. Caps to hair spray, spray paint, my dad's shaving cream.....any cap will do.
They are so fun to chew on. I was throwing this one around the kitchen this morning and mom said it looked like I was playing hockey. I'm not sure what hockey is but I was having a fun time.
The great thing about caps is I dig them out of the trash and run .....and someone usually chases me.....I love that too.

Frosty Paws

My mom and I were reading Golden Samantha's blog and we saw that she had a yummy cold treat. My mom went looking for something like that for me because it has been so hot here. The only thing she found was "Frosty Paws". My mom said it is doggy ice cream. As soon as she and my boy got home from the store they gave it to me...........I took the cup and ran. How exciting something cold and tasty all for me...I took it in my kennel so I could be alone with it.

It was so good I just couldn't stop eating it. It took me a while because it was so cold. Mom was trying to take pictures of me but I couldn't be bothered....I was in heaven. Mom said she was surprised that I didn't eat the paper cup too.

A Visit to the Vet

I went to see Dr. Zempo today. She said I was getting to be a big girl...I weigh 34 pounds today and I am 5 months old. I was there for my pre-spay appointment... whatever that is. All I know is I got to met some new friends.
This is Shooter......he is a 4 year old Golden. He was really calm and he like to "shake" (hands/paws) a lot. My mom and boy though that was so cute.
I didn't catch this kitty's name but I don't think he liked me so much, I think I scared him a little because I was so excited to be there.
This is Johnathon... he is a long haired Doxie. We really liked each other. I could have played with him all day. His mom said that he thinks he is a big dog.
This is me waiting to get my nails clipped. They seem to do that every time I am there. It feels pretty good after they do it but I am not crazy about having it done. I also got some big rawhide chewy things.....I really like them. Mom did not want me to have rawhide because she thought it was bad for me but these are some special ones that my Doctor said were good. I had a fun time at the Vet's today.

I Need A Little Lift Sometimes

This is the chair by mom's work table. I like to sit in it sometimes because it is so comfy. I can not quite get in it by myself (hahaha). So I jump on it half way ......then I turn around and give mom a look so she knows to help me up. Mom lifts me the rest of the way into the chair.
Then I like to take a nice little nap. I'm not sure how long this will work for me but it's working good now. I guess mom doesn't notice that I can jump onto the sofa (to get in some ones lap) from half way across the room if I am in the mood.

Is it Halloween ?

I heard my mom and my girl talking about Halloween and wearing costumes......so today must be Halloween. My mom put my tutu on me again (which is not so big for me anymore) and she added some fairy wings....so this must be a costume and today must be Halloween.
As you can see from the look on my face I am not happy about this costume thing. My dad was not happy about it either, he felt sorry for me.
Then I thought.......... this might not be so bad and I started chewing on it..... pretty tasty. Then mom took it right off of me. I will remember that for next Halloween. Happy Halloween !

~Morning Sunbathing~

One of my favorite things to do in the morning is to lay in the sun. I like it when it is still cool outside but the sun is shinning on me. Later in the day when it is hot I like to be inside.



Of coarse my mom is taking pictures of me again.......even when I am sunbathing!!!

Love those bones !

This is me laying quietly while my family ate dinner on the 4th of July........before I knew what bones were.
After they were done my dad gave me a bone.........oh boy.....I didn't know what it was but I took it and ran outside.....I had to keep looking back to make sure they were not following me (just in case they wanted to take this treasure back).
I wrestled with it for a while. After I figured out it was not going to get away from me.....I layed down and relaxed a little and chewed on it for about an hour mom says.
When it got really small mom took it away from me because she said it was too sharp......but that's ok....I got the best of it.

Happy 4th of July !

Happy 4th of July ! I think my mom gave up on the bows and got me a bandana.....I like it much better....I hardly know I have it on. I heard my mom say she was going to make me a pink one with lace on it or something like that..........we'll see. My dad is going to BBQ today and I heard there might be some bones I can chew on.....I have never had a bone......I am very excited about anything I can chew on. I am going to ask my mom to take pictures of me and my bones. I'll let you know if I like them.
