Doggie Manners Class

This picture of me was taken at my new doggie training called Doggie Manners. For some reason mom thinks I need more manners. I have only been there one time so far but I really like it. There are big doggies there.......not little puppies. There is one other puppy there...he is 7 months old. He is the white one with tan spots in the picture below.
This is two of my new friends from school and me having a group smell........we all seem to like each other. The lab's name is Koda and she is pretty nice. Sammy is my puppy friend. Sammy's mom used ham pieces for his training treats and he got tired of them so his mom gave them to me and my mom gave Sammy some of my treats. I had had never had ham before and I was CRAZY about it.

Note from Lexi's mom: Our sweet Lexi jumped on the dinning room table today.....boy were we surprised and I think she was too. She also tries to steal food off the counters quite regularly now. So that is why we though she might need a little more training or maybe we do. She already had puppy training. I guess her days of me lifting her on to the chair are over. We still think she is the sweetest puppy ever !!!!

  1. Oohh - counter surfing! Us vertically challenged dogs don't can only dream of doing such things! My aunts & cousins are greyhounds, so they are really good at it - their humans also refer to that activity as "land sharking". Keep all 4 on the floor, Lexi!

  2. Hi Lexi,
Uh Oh! Don't get on the table, wait 'til you get a bit taller and you can surf with just your nose...but remember do it when no one is looking!

  5. Oh Lexi, counter is a no no and stealing food from the counter is not nice. But if they have food on their plates, you can steal them. :)
    Have fun at your class.

  9. Woof! Lexi ... it takes a while to master doggie manners especially we are a golden retriever. It took me about 5 years.
Well, I'll be 8 soon and I'm having a birthday giveaway. Visit my blog and read my current post. Looking forward to hear from you. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar

  10. Hey Lexi,
Our dad says that your mom can borrow Radar, our blind 6 month old Golden pup, for a day a two and then she won't think you need to go to Doggie Manners anymore. Jubal and J.E.B. went to Doggie Manners class and then they went to Advanced Doggie Manners class and then they went to Canine Good Citizen class. Watch out for all the advanced degrees down the road.

  11. Hi Lexi-Lou,
Have fun at class! I, too, am a counter/table surfer extraordinaire and have not been "cured" by classes, much to my human's chagrin (hee-hee!).

  17. Jumping on the table! I did that to our camping picnic table....mom is sure I could do that here at home, but so far, I am staying on the ground.
Hope the class goes well for you Lexi. I just had my first Puppy Class. Fortunately, the 4 other pups are about my size, and nice play buddies. Mom has lots of homework with me!!!!
